The birthday experience starts long before the day of the party... Truly, it begins with the excitement of handing out the invitations and announcing who is chosen for the awesome event!
School is probably the best place to hand out the invitations, but do remind your child to be discrete when giving them out, or when talking about the party. It's very exciting, but you don't want anyone's feelings to be hurt when they find out they're not invited.
Send out your invitations at least 2 weeks in advance (or even sooner if the date is near a holiday or another special day).
